On Saturday July 14th US Senator for the state of New Hampshire Maggie Hassan visited The Quince And Quail antiques and vintage shop, located on Main Street in Ashland, NH. She stopped by to meet and talk to the owners, two millennials who decided to stay in the Lakes Region and open a business after graduating from Plymouth State University in 2013. The owners Anthony Adamsky and Maxwell Corbett showed the Senator around their artfully curated shop while they discussed a wide variety of issues effecting small businesses in New Hampshire. The business owners explained how easy it actually was for them to open a small business in New Hampshire without having to go through too much red tape. Even though they have run into some issues, overall they have been able to prosper as a business in the Lakes and Mountains regions. They also spoke about how great of a town Ashland is and the work going into revitalizing the town by many residents and business owners. Other topics discussed ranged from international trade tariffs to the Supreme Court nominee and how all those national and international issues can affect real people and small businesses in New Hampshire and around the country.
The Quince and Quail celebrates the small pleasures in life through the appreciation of fine craftsmanship, individuality, and the quality of vintage and antique items for the home. They offer a curated shopping experience removed from the clutter of traditional second hand stores or the sterile appearances of art galleries with a warm atmosphere that brings customers into an authentic personal shopping experience. The Quince And Quail is located at 44 Main Street Ashland, NH less than a mile from exit 24 off interstate 93. They are open Thursdays through Sundays or by appointment.
